There are two settings in your profile which affect the behaviour of the Kinship application and Revit add-in.

Kinship App Version Channel

Kinship automatically keeps the version of application installed on your computer updated. This setting defines whether you will use the early release versions, such as alphas and betas.

This is set by your administrator and normally will be the same for the whole team. However if you do wish to have access to an early release please contact your administrator who can change the setting for you. Please see Add-in Channel for more details.

Thumbnail Extraction

You can set whether Kinship will extract thumbnail images from the families and models when importing into Kinship. This will normally default to the same as the team settings but you can change your personal settings.
