Kinship has an application which runs on your computer and works with Revit to provide the content you need. You can modify the behaviour of the app from the Revit options panel

- At the top is some general information about the Kinship application
- The version of Kinship that you are running
- Is your version of Kinship up to date or is there a later version available. For more information on the versions of Kinship and updating see here
- What account you are using to connect with Kinship.
- The Search Box Appearance section allows you to customize how the search box behaves
- Remember window position and size - Have the search box appear at the same location and size when it was last closed.
- Show all results - Control the number of results that you are shown. The default is to show all the results. Unchecking the box will display a slider and let you choose how many results you would like to see, from 1 to 25.
- Show latest history if within 5 minutes - will populate the box with your previous search if it was within 5 minutes.
- Disable family and model data extraction - By default Kinship will extract the family and model data when a model is Synchronized with Central. Checking this box will disable this feature for all your models across all sessions of Revit. It will also override any Model Sync Rules which are set up to automatically add the model to Kinship. This option should be used with caution as it will mean that your models will not be tracked by Kinship.
