When a collection is assigned to a project, its content will be prioritised when searching from any model that is part of the project.
Results from assigned collections will appear before library results and will show the blue model icon.
Assign a Collection to a Project
Go to the collection’s Contents page and click on the three-dots menu at the top right of the page. From the dropdown menu select Assign to project….
- This will bring up a list of available projects. Click on any project to toggle selection on or off. You can click on more than one project to assign a collection to multiple projects at once. You can also use the search field above the list to search the list of projects by project number, project name and client name.
- Click Assign to finish assigning the collection to the selected projects. You can also hit the escape key or click the X in the top right to cancel the assignment and return to the collection’s Contents page.
- After assigning a collection to a project, it may take up to 5 minutes for search results in Revit to update accordingly. You can also force the add-in to update immediately by typing #index into the search box.
View Assigned Projects
You can view the projects to which a collection has been assigned by clicking on the three-dots menu at the top right of the collection’s Contents page and selecting View assigned projects.
On the collection’s assigned projects page (shown below), you can also download a CSV file of the assigned projects by clicking on the three-dots menu and selecting Download Projects List from the dropdown.
Unassign Projects
From a collection’s assigned projects page, you can unassign the collection from projects. To do so, click on the three-dots menu at the end of a project’s row and select Unassign.
You can also select Edit at the top right of the page, and then click the red X at the end of a project’s row, or select multiple project rows and click Unassign above the list.
A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to confirm the unassignment.
