About Collections

Modified on Thu, 12 Oct, 2023 at 2:20 PM

Collections are alternative libraries for managing and sharing content with your team. Example uses of collections include content for a specific client, sector, region or sub-discipline.

By default, content in collections will appear in users' Revit search results below results from the approved library.

Collections can also be assigned to projects. When a collection is assigned to a project, its content will be given top priority when searching from any model that’s part of the project.

Results from assigned collections will appear with the blue model icon in the Revit search.

By assigning collections to projects, you can eliminate the need to pre-load template families into your projects' .rvt files.

This helps to reduce the size of your models and makes it easier and faster to get projects up and running.
