Licensing

Kinship is licensed per named user.

Kinship is licensed on a named user basis. This means that each user is registered with Kinship, via an email address, and as long as the user remains activated they will consume a single license.

If a user is no longer using Kinship you can deactivate their account, which will free up their license.

At a later point you can always reactivate a user. You can activate and deactivate a user as many times as necessary.

A user may have multiple copies of Revit, including different versions and on different devices, while consuming a single license.

There is a technical limitation that each user, as known by their registered email address, can belong to only one team.

Monitoring your active users

  • You can see how many active users are currently registered with Kinship from the Browse Members page, available from the Team Members page
  • On the Browse Members page, at the top left of the page is the total number of users currently registered with Kinship. This is the number of licenses that you are currently using.See All members
  • The list of users can be sorted by the last time that they were active which can help you to identify which users are currently inactive.
